#Eckogram - "Eleventh Hour"

Okay, it is time again for another entry in our ongoing "Photo Diary" series. Hey! It caught me by surprise that this is now the 11th entry of this series. Knowing me, I regard the number 11 as one of my favorite numbers (See my Doctor Who-related posts to know why, LoL!).

The Eleventh Hour is upon us and I guess we should start now, shall we?

Author's note: Still, again, as part of the delay during the holiday season, some of the pictures in this entry are a mixture of pictures from the past month or two. However, the catching up process is about to end, so just bear with it my dear readers. As always,  they are worth your time. Thank you.

#Eckogram - "Tenth"

Hey Folks, it is time again for another entry in our beloved "photo diary" series. This is the "10th" one, so that is a little bit of a "humble" milestone, do you agree?

Anyhow, let us get the ball rolling, shall we?

Author's note: Still, as part of the delay that was mentioned on the last entry,  some of the pictures in this and the succeeding entries will be a mixture of pictures from the past month or two, a sort of "catching up" process. As always,  they are worth your time. Thank you.

#Eckogram - Cloud Nine

Okay, it has been a really long while since the eight entry on the "Eckogram Diary" Series (About a shade over one month, IMO). Again, I apologize for that. The Holidays proved to be a little bit busy than what my two hands and one brain can handle and thus, a lot of archived drafts had been collecting cobwebs for the past week or two.

To make up for lost time, let us start to get things rolling with the Ninth entry of this series. Here it goes.

Author's note: I just want to point out that due to the delay, some of the pictures in this and the succeeding entries will be a mixture of pictures from the past month or two, still they are worth your time, nonetheless. Thank you.

The good thing is, I am back again with another post - in this case, another one for my ongoing photo diary - Eckogram. Let us not waste time and keep the ball rolling now, shall we?

#Eckogram - My take on an Instagram Diary

"The biggest reason I ultimately decided to acquire an Android-powered smartphone - Instagram"

I can clearly remember it. It was the summer of 2012, my little sister showed us her new smartphone - an Android OS-powered one - and to be honest, I am really not keen into the Android bandwagon that time because I am contented using my Symbian-powered smartphone. However, my curiosity got the best of me and I borrowed my sis' phone and explored what this Android OS has to offer.

One application that my sis was using caught my attention and that application was the biggest reason I ultimately decided to acquire an Android-powered smartphone - Instagram.

Ever since then, I had been what you can call an "Instawhore" since I abused that application a LOT.

Fast forward to today, while checking on how many photos (that I uploaded on Instagram) was in my phone's storage, an idea sparked in me. With that amount of photo I am snapping and uploading on Instagram, I guess that dumping some of those to my blog/s on at least a weekly basis will be a good way to update, right? Kind of like, a Diary of Instagram photos of sorts.

"Damn Moon" (Actually, make it damn limited megapixels)

I do believe in the saying that the limitations in one's photography is one's self since what we see is what we are. However, it does not apply to the photographer's equipment. Take the picture above as an example. That full moon was a sight to behold that is why I decided to take a snap of it although I did took it with my phone camera (5MP of XMP) since that is the one that I have "handy" at that time.

As you can see, the limitations of the hardware became evident with the shot (although the original photo was worse than the one shown above) that I had. It is a good thing that unlike the equipment, the photographer itself has little to no limitation (if there is determination), so with some post-processing I was able to make tweaks to make the photo a decent one and not let it go to waste and even put it here in the blog.

Lesson Learned: When trying to take photos of things up in the night sky like the moon, whip out the best gear, but if you happen to only have to make do with your camera phone snapper, do not lose hope, you can still make a good photo with it.

Remember, the equipment may have many limitations, but the photographer itself only has one...

That is himself/herself.

Hope this post inspired.

Until the next post...

This image was taken using the trusty complementary 5 megapixel camera of my mobile phone. Post-processing done for borders and watermark.
