Minsan Pa'y Ating Sariwain - National Heroes Day

If there is a deserving and fitting first post for my phlog, for sure it is this one.

Today, we are celebrating National Heroes Day and for that reason, I am posting this picture of our National Hero's - Jose Rizal - Monument at Rizal Park in Manila.

This picture was taken some months ago with my trusty 5 megapixel-armed mobile phone and I have to admit, I have seen this monument countless times since I was a kid, but still I cannot help to be awed by its majestic form. It is a monument really fitting for our National Hero.

As you can see in the picture, the skyline is still devoid of the controversial "Torre De Manila" which unfortunately, is ruining the view of the monument right now, sticking out like a sore thumb, and is really getting the ire of the masses (In my opinion, something should be done about it because is a plain and stupid desecration).

Again, A very meaningful National Heroes Day to all of you.
